Tai Chi Relationship to Taoist Concepts Discussed
In addition, there will be discussion of Taoist concepts in relation to Tai Chi. Tai Chi is a moving meditation which has its roots in the purest and oldest form of Taoist philosophy. Practiced with patience and skill, it trains the mind as well as the body. It is clear we do not live in Lao Tzu’s time, nor can we live like the Chinese martial arts movies depict through digital imagery. We do not fly up to roof tops and slay villains with a wave of our palms; but we can keep up a practice that can enhance our energy, clear our minds and improve our physical and mental health to meet challenges in today’s world.
